Projects Supported by The Harold Greenberg Fund
Since its inception in 1986, Astral’s Harold Greenberg Fund/Fonds Harold Greenberg, has supported 3260 projects, including script development, feature film, family television series and training grants. This represents an investment of over $73 million to date in the Canadian film and television industry.
Canada on the World Stage

We are pleased to announce that 12 films supported by Astral’s Harold Greenberg Fund/Le Fonds Harold Greenberg (Fund/Fonds)– have been selected for the 35th annual Toronto International Film Festival®. Fund/Fond’s slate of supported films for 2010 includes the Opening Night Gala Presentation of Score: A Hockey Musical and gala presentations for Barney’s Version, A Beginners Guide to Endings, and The Bang Bang Club.

The Midnight Madness screenings will kick off with Michael Dowse’s Fubar II.  The Canada First! program includes Daydream Nation and Oliver Sherman. Featured in the Short Cuts Canada lineup are Champagne and How to Rid Your Lover of a Negative Emotion Caused by You!. And three films supported by the French-language program will be featured special presentations; Incendies, Route 132 and Trois Temps Après la Mort D’Anna.

Astral continues to be the country’s largest private investor in Canadian feature film with significant contributions towards the development and production of homegrown film and television projects through Astral’s Harold Greenberg Fund/Le Fonds Harold Greenberg, The Movie Network, Super Écran and Viewers Choice.
