(February 6, 2012 - Toronto, Canada) - Funny, fearless comedy is returning to HBO Canada, a multiplex channel of Astral's The Movie Network (Eastern Canada) and Corus Entertainment's Movie Central (Western Canada) this February, with Season 2 of Funny as Hell, a no-holds-barred original stand-up comedy series from The Movie Network and Movie Central, and produced by Just For Laughs Television. The eight-part, half-hour, Gemini-award winning series was taped in front of a live audience at the 2011 Montreal Just For Laughs Festival and features bold, uncensored comedy from some of today's fastest rising stars. Funny as Hell Season 2 premieres Friday, February 24 at 9 p.m. ET/MT on HBO Canada.

Hosted by homegrown comic Jon Dore, Funny as Hell brings audiences more of the edgy, politically-incorrect comedy, music and digital shorts that made them howl in Season 1. In its sophomore season, Funny as Hell features an impressive line-up of performances by: Jeffrey Ross (The Comedy Central Roasts), Hannibal Buress (Writer for 30 Rock), Kristen Schaal (The Daily Show, Flight of the Concords), Rhys Darby (Flight of the Concords), John Mulaney (Saturday Night Live), David O'Doherty (multiple award winner at Edinborough Fringe Festival), Jay Oakerson (Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn), Bill Burr (Dave Chapelle Show), Eugene Mirman (Flight of the Concords, Bob's Burgers), Amy Schumer (The Roast of Charlie Sheen), Greg Davies (The Inbetweeners), Nick Thune (appearances on Conan, Fallon and Leno), Tom Gleeson (Good News Week), Arj Barker (Flight of the Concords), and Bridget Everett & DJ AD-ROCK (Adam Horovitz from the legendary Beastie Boys) to name a few.
