Astral Premieres 2012 Toronto International Film Festival Trailer

Montreal, September 7, 2012 - Astral Media Inc. (TSX: ACM.A ACM.B) premiered a new trailer at the Toronto International Film Festival's opening night yesterday, to highlight its continued commitment in support of Canadian culture. This year marks the 25th year that Astral has associated itself with the festival. After 25 years, Astral is as enthusiastic as ever to be taking part in such an important and renowned event.

Astral is proud to be the largest Private investor in Canadian feature film, and its properties, namely The Movie Network, Super Écran and Astral's Harold Greenberg Fund invest over $170 million each year.

For over a decade, Astral has had the honour of premiering a trailer on the opening night of the Festival. This year's trailer highlights, in a comical and insightful manner, the rejection that aspiring screenwriters, directors and movie making hopeful's face when trying to secure the financing necessary to bring their masterpiece to the bring screen.
